World Book Day 2021
22nd February 2021
World book day is nearly upon us (4th March) and we wanted to plan something fun that everyone could join in with!!
Therefore we are asking every child to decorate their own 'Story Stone' - this could be with a favourite character from a story, nursery rhyme or the bible! It might not be a character it could be an object or something from the setting e.g. a castle. Whatever it is, get creative and then send us a close up photograph of your Story Stone with the title of the story on or before 4th March - we will have a prize for someone from each year group as usual!!
All you will need is;
- a smooth pebble
- chalk / markers / paint
- varnish (if you wish)
I have attached a few ideas for inspiration!
Once everyone is back at school we would like to collect all the stones in and use them in an outdoor display.
It's never too soon to start reading with your child. A love of reading will open up a whole new world to your child and give them so many opportunities for the future! Below I have attached a link to the best books for children for their age group - please have a browse...
