Welcome to Class 3...
Class 3 is made up of year 3 and year 4 children.  Mrs Thorpe is our class teacher Monday - Thursday and Mrs Wilson teaches us on Fridays.  We are supported by our teaching assistant Miss Bruce and Miss Prior teaches us Science every week.  In class 3 we learn to play the violin and are taking on more responsibility in the school. In the summer term Year 4's go on a residential trip, where we enjoy abseiling, canoeing, archery, climbing wall amongst many other adventures!!  In year 4 we get ready for middle school, from St Cuthbert's we transfer to either Berwick middle or Tweedmouth middle.  Our class is happy and hard working!
Class 3 starts at 8:45am and finishes at 3:00pm - please drop off and collect from the main playground
Reading - In class 3 we have guided reading every day in small groups.  The children are also expected to choose a book from class to take home to share with you.  Please make sure this book and their yellow reading record is in school every day, the teacher will check weekly and we ask parents to please sign the reading record book.
PE - Your child should wear their PE kit to school EVERY TUESDAY. This consists of black shorts or black joggers (no branding), trainers, school jumper or hoodie and  a red t-shirt with the school badge.  Swimming takes place on Fridays at the Swan leisure centre, children should bring their swimming costume and towel in a separate bag.  Please ensure every piece of clothing is named.
Water botttes - All children are expected to have fresh water in their water bottle every day.  Bottles can be purchased from the school office.  Please ensure bottles are only filled with plain water.
Homework - is given out every Thursday and collected the following Wednesday.  Spellings will be included and tested every Thursday.  It is really important that your child accesses Maths Whizz every week to help them build confidence in maths.
