Uniform

It is very important that your child is ready for school in lots of ways, one very important part of being ready for school is having the correct uniform.  All children are here to learn and having correct school uniform helps children to remain focused and less distracted. 
 
During the Coronavirus pandemic children are permitted to wear their school hoodie on ANY day and please ensure your child wears layers as school will be colder due to increased need for ventialtion.

School uniform:

White polo shirt

Red school jumper or cardigan this should be WITH the school badge 

Grey trousers / skirt / pinafore / shorts

Red & white checked dress/jumpsuit

Black school shoes – laces only if your child can tie laces otherwise velcro is best.

Boots in winter only.

 

PE uniform - Children MUST change for PE as a matter of good hygiene:

Red t-shirt this should be WITH the school badge

Black shorts – no football club emblem or other logo

Black jogging bottoms - no football club emblem or other logo

Black plimsolls

PE days

Reception = Tuesdays

Class 2 = Tuesdays & Wednesdays

Class 3 = Tuesdays & Fridays

Trainers are not permitted unless for a specific sporting event that staff have asked children to bring. 

 

Earrings are NOT permitted for school

Black leggings are not permitted for school or PE

 

PLEASE ENSURE EVERY ITEM IS CLEARLY NAMED

 

It is very important your child follows the school rules, we are raising standards and this includes adhering to our uniform policy. It is an important part of our proud identity of being a St Cuthbert’s pupil. 

If you have any problems getting hold of uniform please see Mrs Newton in the school office.  We often have very good quality second hand uniform if you need please do not hesitate to ask.  If you have any good quality uniform that you no longer need please pass in to school.

Other information
 
No jewellery is permitted including earrings. If you wish to have your child's ear pierced then we advise you do so at the beginning of the summer holiday giving them time to heal before returning to school. 
Long hair should be tied back every day and we discourage tram lines or other fashion hair cuts.
 
Low heeled black shoes should be worn.  Children will be outside in all weathers so please ensure your child has a warm/waterproof coat. 
 
MOST UNIFORM CAN BE ORDERED FROM THE SCHOOL OFFICE OR FROM FANTASY PRINTS. WE ALSO HAVE A SMALL SELECTION OF GOOD CONDITION SECONDHAND AVAILABLE FOR A DONATION - CONTACT SCHOOL FOR DETAILS.
